Light the Way is a fundraiser ride taking place on July 11, 2026, at the Hillbilly Highways Ride Camp, located near Lily Plain, SK. All proceeds go towards supporting the Canadian National Championship.
If you’re looking to increase your riding distance to 75 or 100 miles and want experience riding in the dark, this event is the perfect opportunity. Or, if you’re simply looking to have some fun, this ride is for you!
The ride will consist of a 12.5-mile loop. All horses must be vetted at least one hour prior to the start time.
The ride begins at 7:00 p.m., with riders completing the first loop during daylight and dusk. Upon returning to camp, horses will go through a vet check followed by a 45-minute hold. Riders will then complete the same 12.5-mile loop in reverse, riding in the dark and guided along the trail by glow sticks.
Please bring a potluck breakfast item to share the following morning at 9:00 a.m.
A negative Coggins test is required for all equines.
